THE AT HOME MANICURE
There’s something about a beautiful manicure. it looks and feels elegant, but having it done by a pro all the time can add up so if your looking to save money & a little time - or your locked down & your manicurist is closed - try our DIY manicure at home—for a fraction of the cost.
Remove any old polish. Trim your nails using a nail clipper.
Try and trim each nail to the same length. This make shaping them alot easier.
Soaking your hands in warm soapy water to soothe and soften dead skin cells.
Shape your nails with a nail file.
An almond or oval shape gives the illusion of a longer nail however a square or square/oval nail is easier to achieve at home. Begin filing from the edge of the nail moving file around to the tip.
Tidy the cuticles. Use a cuticle softener on each nail before gently pushing the cuticles back using a cuticle stick. Once done, wipe nails to remove the oil. If you have any loose skin you can clip with cuticle clippers but take care to not to overdo it.
Buff your nails. This creates an even surface for your nail polish to adhere to - only buff you nail in one direction.

Apply a as coat. This protects your nails and ensures your manicure lasts longer.
Apply polish. Use a colour of your choice - we suggest Opi - you’ll be certain to find a colour that speaks to you. Apply the polish towards the base of the nail and soft push it towards the cuticle to ensure you have a neat edge and then bring it up to the tip of the nail If you’re not confident in your polish skills, choose a neutral colour which will hide any flaws.
Once you’ve finished the first coat on both hands, do a second coat to ensure an even colour. Give your polish a few minutes to dry.
Apply top coat. This seals your manicure, helps to prevent chips and adds a glossy finish
Drying tips: use quick dry drops or a give nails a blast with a hair dryer.
Finish the manicure with a cuticle oil. This hydrates the nails and cuticles to help prevent any dry, cracked skin around the nail. Nourished cuticles will ensure your manicure looks fresh for longer.
